AT NEOCON, THE MART SHOWROOM 1169
NORWALK, CT, June 10, 2024 – Inspired by the duality of our world and the beauty of the push and the pull, HMTX Industries introduces the Flow Collection of LVP flooring as a representation of our paths through life. The collection features mixed materials uniquely placed in a pattern that creates harmony through disruption. The Flow Collection was named an Honoree in the 2024 Interior Design HiP Awards Workplace: Hard Flooring category.
HMTX Designers Natalia Smith and Heather Hood were inspired by the metaphoric movement seen within the flow of water. The dimensions between currents, the crashes of waves, the beauty of a summer storm…all are beautiful representations of how life’s beauty is found within both the calm and the clash.
The result of their inspiration is Flow: a collection that nods to the geometric, artistic play of carpet, but in a resilient 100% virgin vinyl construction that is ideal for any commercial application.
The Flow Collection of LVP was created to encourage those upon it to view the floor as an integral part of our daily landscape, and not merely a commodity upon which we move through the world. Said Smith, “We hope Flow acts as a foundation for sensory exploration and visualization as it fosters a relationship with flooring, one of awe, appreciation and admiration.”
The biophilic nature of Flow’s inherit design was intended to aid in the physical and mental well-being of those upon it. And the way the collection’s elements interact tells a story of attachment and belonging: We are all battling nature’s limits, together.
Flow features two mixed media designs, one wood, the other stone, and both with swatches of linen, creating a stippled felt-like visual effect or a small-scale concrete-like visual texture. The third Flow is a monochromatic linen, where each of the swatches features a linen in a single value. Colors of varying hues all work well together, and carrying the linen theme throughout ensures that there are coordinating opportunities across the entire portfolio.
According to Smith, Flow is unique in how its design brings many differing elements together to create a beautiful, harmonious result. “I love to create collections that have built-in coordination,” she noted. “Each of the mixed media designs has a monochromatic linen Flow that works effortlessly within it, and each design can stand on its own or work together, making each project unique and inviting.”
The Flow Collection of Luxury Vinyl Plank features three unique visuals that feature Wood, Stone and Linen and includes a total of 21 curated skus in a 9” x 60”, 2.5mm format as well as a digitally printed 8.66”x59.49” 5.5 rigid core format.
