Norwalk, CT, Nov. 10, 2021 – HMTX Industries announced the expansion of its legal team with the appointment of Margaret Walker to the new position of Vice President, Legal Affairs. Located in Norwalk, CT, Walker will report to HMTX Chief Operating Officer Michael Kaminsky. Some of her key responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex international supply, distribution, licensing and other commercial contracts.
- Providing guidance on IP strategy and supervising the maintenance and prosecution of the group IP portfolio including trademark and patent filings.
- Acting as partner to the heads of business units, providing legal, commercial and strategic support and managing the development and implementation of legal strategies.
- Counseling internal clients on various legal matters arising, including contractual matters, employment, real estate and construction, health and safety, litigation, manufacturing and supply chain.
Margaret received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Rochester and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
Prior to joining HMTX, Margaret spent her career at Xerox Corporation, most recently serving as Associate General Counsel. Margaret also held the roles of Real Estate Counsel, Trademark & Copyright Counsel, Senior Trademark & Copyright Counsel, and Division Counsel.
